Hackensack NJ Police Arrest Man Accused of Sexual Assaulting Young Girl
A Hackensack NJ teenager has been arrested and accused of being involved in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.
18-year-old George Agreda is believed to have engaged in a sexual relationship with the young victim. Apparently, the victim’s father discovered the relationship and contacted Hackensack NJ police.
Hackensack police officers met Mr. Agreda at the house he shares with his parents. There, Mr. Agreda agreed to be interviewed at the Hackensack police station.
According said that the victim confirmed that she and Mr. Agreda had engaged in a sexual relationship.
Mr. Agreda has been charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
In New Jersey, sexual assault is addressed by N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b. If Mr. Agreda is convicted of second degree sexual assault, he faces up to ten (10) years in state prison. Beyond that, after he has served his sentence, Mr. Agreda would be required to register as a sex offender.
