Fairview NJ Police Arrest Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting 12-Year-Old Girl
Fairview New Jersey police arrested a man who allegedly committed a sexual assault of an underage girl at a local residence.
The victim, a 12-year-old girl, told her parents that she had been inappropriately touched by the suspect. The girl’s parents then contacted the Fairview Police Department and filed a report. Fairview police later notified the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, prompting both law enforcement agencies to conduct a joint investigation into the sexual offense allegations.
When Fairview police and Bergen County detectives spoke with the victim, they learned that the suspect had allegedly committed the sex crime at a home located in Fairview, NJ.
Law enforcement eventually uncovered enough evidence to place the suspect under arrest.
The suspect, a 25-year-old man from West New York, has been charged with multiple sex crimes, including sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child.
After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspect was transported to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ. He was being held at the jail in lieu of a massive $250K bail amount.
