Rockland County NJ Man Charged with Sex Trafficking in Newark
A Rockland County NJ man has been accused of forcing an underage girl into sexual slavery.
According to federal attorneys, 23-year-old Wilbur “Wilby” Senat, with the help of three (3) other men, took the victim to Philadelphia and New Jersey to engage in prostitution. Authorities believe that Mr. Senat threatened to kill the victim’s family if she failed to turn tricks for him.
It is alleged that Mr. Senat kept the victim at the house of an accomplice in Philadelphia. There, Mr. Senat allegedly forced the victim to have sex with several individuals in exchange for money. Authorities also believe that Mr. Senat physically abused the victim.
Mr. Senat was in federal custody when the government announced that two (2) of his alleged accomplices would be making appearances in U.S. District Court in Newark. Samuel “Dre” Verrier and Karl “Dreadhead” Venord, the alleged accomplices, also face charges in the case. Mr. Senat’s other alleged accomplice, Varian Charles, was already indicted by a federal grand jury.
While awaiting trial, Mr. Senat was being held without bail.
