Police arrested a Ridgefield Park NJ man accused of sexually assaulting a young child.

The suspect is a 45-year-old man from Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. According to Bergen County prosecutors, the suspect committed the sex crime on at least one occasion in June 2017. The suspect allegedly touched the victim, an 11-year-old kid, in an inappropriate manner at an undisclosed location in Ridgefield Park, NJ.

The Ridgefield Park Police Department was notified of the possible incident of child molestation and immediately contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. The two agencies launched an investigation, interviewed witnesses, and eventually determined that enough evidence existed to place the suspect under arrest.

The suspect has been charged with several sex crimes, including sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child.

After being arrested and processed, the suspect was taken to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey.
