Teaneck NJ Police Arrest Man Accused of Cyber Harassment
Teaneck New Jersey police recently arrested a Warren NJ man accused of harassing a woman he met through an online dating site.
The suspect is a resident of Warren in Somerset County, New Jersey. According to authorities, the suspect committed the threat crime against a Teaneck woman he met through Internet dating website SeekingArrangement.com.
The victim went to police headquarters in Teaneck NJ and reported that the suspect had threatened to disseminate damaging personal information about her. The victim told police that the suspect wanted her to meet with him.
Detectives with the Teaneck Police Department investigated the possible threat offense and got evidence from the website owner after serving subpoenas.
Once police identified the suspect, they located him in Warren NJ and placed him under arrest.
The suspect has now been charged with cyber harassment and luring. If he is convicted on the very serious criminal charges, he could potentially be sentenced to prison time.
