Wyckoff NJ Police Investigate Burglary Spree, Car Break-Ins
Police in Wyckoff New Jersey are investigating several recent car burglaries that were committed in the same area.
According to authorities, at least two suspects are probably behind the car break-ins. The suspects unlawfully entered a number of unlocked motor vehicles that had been parked on James Way and Russell Avenue in Wyckoff, NJ.
The Wyckoff Police Department received multiple complaints from the vehicle owners about their cars being broken into and possessions being stolen from the vehicles. The victims told police that the suspects stole wallets, cash, credit cards, cell phones, GPS units, and other items from the unlocked vehicles.
Wyckoff NJ police officers investigated the thefts and did not notice any signs of forced entry, leading investigators to believe that the cars were unlocked after being parked on the street in Wyckoff, New Jersey.
At this time, law enforcement has not identified the suspects in the car burglaries. If police can eventually determine who broke into the vehicles, the culprits would probably face criminal charges for burglary and theft of movable property.
Meanwhile, Wyckoff NJ police have asked local residents to make sure to lock their cars when parking the vehicles overnight. Moreover, said police, vehicle owners should take precautions and remove emergency key fobs from their cars.
