NYC Man Charged with Bank Robberies in Bergen County, New Jersey
An NYC man was recently arrested in connection with multiple robberies of banks in Bergen County, NJ.
The suspect is a 41-year-old man from New York City, NY. According to law enforcement officials, the suspect committed robberies at banks located in Fort Lee and Hasbrouck Heights, as well as a bank located in Scarsdale, New York.
All of the banks that the suspect allegedly robbed are TD Banks.
Englewood NJ police officers captured the suspect while he was reportedly in the process of planning another bank robbery. According to authorities, the suspect was sitting in a car parked outside the TD Bank in Englewood, New Jersey. Englewood patrol cops recognized the vehicle, a red 2017 Mitsubishi, as being the vehicle used in the other bank robberies.
After surveying the scene, Englewood cops arrested the suspect without incident.
The suspect has been charged with numerous crimes, including robbery, theft of movable property, and possession of heroin. Since the suspect faces multiple counts on some of the criminal charges, he could be subject to severe penalties.
