Man Denies Strangling Mother of His Young Child in Waldwick NJ
A Midland Park NJ man pleaded not guilty to charges of strangling the mother of his young child.
At a hearing in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack NJ, 22-year-old Mark J. Spatucci stood silently as his defense attorney entered not-guilty pleas on his behalf.
Mr. Spatucci has been accused of strangling Mary Greff in her Waldwick NJ home. Prosecutors believe that the violent incident was the culmination of a heated argument between Mr. Spatucci and Ms. Greff.
According to authorities, Mr. Spatucci and Ms. Greff previously dated for two (2) years and had lived together after Ms. Greff gave birth to the couple’s son.
Mr. Spatucci is facing extremely serious charges, including murder, burglary, and endangering the welfare of a child. Prosecutors have also charged Mr. Spatucci with hindering apprehension because he allegedly deleted relevant text messages after the murder.
Mr. Spatucci is currently being held at the Bergen County Jail on $2 million bail.
