Lodi NJ Man Accused of Storing Child Porn on Personal Computer
A Lodi NJ man was recently arrested and charged with child pornography possession.
Investigators with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit began an investigation after authorities received a report that the 47-year-old suspect had illicit images stored on one of his computers. According to prosecutors, the images depicted prepubescent children engaging in sexual activity.
As part of the investigation, officers served a search warrant at the suspect’s home. Investigators seized the suspect’s personal computer and searched for the illicit files.
According to prosecutors, investigators found child pornography on the suspect’s computer. Investigators also allegedly discovered videos and pictures of child pornography on other electronic devices at the suspect’s house.
As a result of the investigation, the suspect has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated assault. Although prosecutors have not yet released any details on the assault charge, it is believed by authorities that the assault was committed against a police officer.
After being charged and placed under arrest, the suspect was transported to the Bergen County Jail. He was being held at the facility in lieu of $15,000 bail.
