Hasbrouck Heights NJ Man Accused of Downloading Child Pornography
Police recently arrested a Hasbrouck Heights NJ man accused of downloading child pornography and possessing marijuana.
After receiving information that the 25-year-old suspect was using the Internet to download sexually explicit images of minors, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office started an investigation.
The prosecutor’s office’s computer crimes unit began to look into the suspect’s online activity.
A judge later approved the unit’s request to search the suspect’s residence in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. The search allegedly turned up evidence that the suspect had used the Internet to view the illegal images of minors.
Additionally, police allegedly found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the suspect’s home.
The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with child endangerment for possession of child pornography. The suspect was also charged with multiple drug offenses, including simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect was released from police custody on his own recognizance. He has a pending court date to address the charges against him.
