The first arrest was made on Christmas Eve. According to police, the 34-year-old suspect knocked an elderly female relative to the ground. He then allegedly assaulted her.
Englewood police officers were called to the scene after receiving a report of loud yelling inside a 1st Ward apartment. When officers arrived at the apartment and knocked on the door, the voices suddenly went silent.
The officers continued to knock on the door. Eventually, the suspect opened the door and allowed the officers inside the apartment. The officers spoke with the elderly woman and determined that the suspect had committed an assault.
The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence assault, obstruction, and elder abuse.
After being arrested, the suspect was transported to the Bergen County Jail on a $31,500 bail amount. Meanwhile, the female victim received medical treatment for her injuries.
The second arrest occurred on Christmas night. An Englewood NJ police officer was called to a 4th Ward apartment complex. When he arrived at the complex, he saw the 33-year-old suspect exiting an apartment. At the same moment, a woman walked out of the apartment and told the officer that the suspect had just assaulted her.
When the suspect reportedly fled the scene on foot, the police officer chased the suspect through the city for several blocks. The officer eventually caught the suspect and placed him under arrest.
The suspect was charged with domestic violence assault, obstruction, and tampering with evidence. The suspect was also charged with marijuana possession because arresting officers allegedly saw him attempt to discard 23 bags of marijuana during the pursuit.
After being arrested, the suspect was taken to the Bergen County Jail on a $45,000 bail amount.
The third arrest occurred on the day after Christmas. According to police, a 32-year-old woman had an argument with her 52-year-old mother during the early morning hours. At some point during the argument, the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim.
Police also said that the victim’s 8-year-old child was injured by a falling object during the argument.
Police arrested the suspect, who was found at a male friend’s apartment in Englewood, New Jersey. The suspect has been charged with domestic violence assault and child endangerment.
After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was taken to the Bergen County Jail on a $26,200 bail amount.
