Wood-Ridge NJ Couple Allegedly Busted with Heroin in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ
Two people from Wood-Ridge allegedly had a large quantity of heroin in their car while driving through Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey.
According to authorities, the suspects were found in a car that contained almost nine pounds of heroin. The vehicle was parked in the parking lot of the Rite Aid Pharmacy located at 151 Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.
A subsequent search of the suspect’s home in Wood-Ridge NJ allegedly turned up an additional 11 pounds of heroin.
The total amount of heroin seized by law enforcement is said to be approximately 20 pounds. Moreover, the heroin reportedly has a street value of roughly $540,000.
The suspects include a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman. Both suspects reside at the same house in Wood-Ridge, NJ.
The suspects have been charged with distribution of heroin and possession of heroin. They have also been charged with distribution of heroin near school property, which could result in enhanced penalties if the suspects are ultimately convicted.
After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspects were remanded to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ. They were each being held at the jail in lieu of separate $250K bail amounts.
