River Vale NJ Police Investigate Auto Accident That Injured Young Boy
Police in River Vale NJ are investigating a car accident that resulted in a young boy suffering minor injuries.
The auto accident happened in the afternoon on Rivervale Road, which is located near Holdrum Middle School in River Vale, New Jersey. It is unclear at this time if the young victim is a student at the middle school.
According to authorities, a 44-year-old Emerson NJ man was operating a car and driving on Rivervale Road when he crashed into the victim, an 11-year-old boy, who was riding his bicycle on the side of the street.
The motorist stopped at the scene of the accident and reportedly dialed 911 to alert authorities. River Vale police officers and emergency medical responders soon arrived at the accident site. Paramedics then took the injured bicyclist to Hackensack University Medical Center at Pascack Valley. Doctors later said that the child suffered minor injuries in the car accident.
The River Vale Police Department is actively investigating the auto accident and attempting to determine whether the driver should be cited for any traffic violations. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, it is possible that the motorist could be issued traffic tickets for reckless driving, careless driving, or speeding.
