Ridgewood NJ Man Accused of Possessing Marijuana, High-Capacity Magazine
Police arrested a man who allegedly had marijuana and a high-capacity magazine in his possession in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
Authorities received a report of criminal activity at a home on Pershing Avenue in Ridgewood, NJ. Police then obtained a search warrant and dispatched officers to the scene. According to witnesses, SWAT units and K9 units went to the house.
Officers with the Ridgewood Police Department and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office executed the search warrant at the residence.
Once inside the house, police reportedly discovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and the high-capacity magazine.
The 23-year-old suspect was taken into custody and placed under arrest.
The suspect has been charged with a number of drug offenses, including marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession. He also faces weapons charges as a result of police allegedly finding the ammunition magazine in his home.
If the suspect is ultimately convicted on the drug charges or the weapons charges, he could face serious penalties.
After being placed under arrest, the suspect was transported to the Bergen County Jail. He is being held at the facility in lieu of $30,000 bail.
