Police, FBI Search for Man Who Robbed Bank in Fort Lee, NJ
Fort Lee NJ law enforcement is searching for a man accused of robbing a local bank on Monday.
The suspect allegedly committed the bank robbery in the afternoon. According to authorities, the suspect entered the TD Bank located at 1400 Palisade Avenue at 4:30 p.m. and approached a bank teller. The suspect handed a note to the teller, with the note instructing the bank employee to hand over cash.
After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect reportedly ran out of the bank and fled the area on foot.
Fort Lee police officers were called to the scene, but the suspect was gone by the time they arrived.
The Fort Lee Police Department is working with the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to investigate the bank robbery.
Investigators have already obtained video surveillance photos that show the suspect wearing a black coat and dark sunglasses.
