Man Indicted in Bergen County Superior Court for Allegedly Trying to Sell Illegal Guns in Edgewater and Jersey City
A Texas personal trainer was indicted by a Bergen County grand jury for possessing six (6) illegal guns.
35-year-old Dustin Robalino-Arcos, an Ecuadorian national, was arrested by Bergen County detectives a couple of months ago. He had completed a drug transaction with an undercover detective and then told the detective about a gun-running operation in the New York/New Jersey area. Mr. Robalino-Arcos offered to sell the undercover detective six (6) handguns for $7,200.00.
According to authorities, Mr. Robalino-Arcos was on his way to the undercover gun buy in Edgewater NJ when he was arrested.
Mr. Robalino-Arcos was indicted in Bergen County Superior Court on charges of distributing prescription drugs and illegal possession of handguns.
In New Jersey, illegal possession of a handgun is addressed by N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5(b). If Mr. Robalino-Arcos is convicted of second degree illegal possession of handguns, he may face up to ten (10) years in state prison.
