Mahwah man beaten, robbed of $70,000 in cash
A Mahwah man was beaten and robbed by a group of men who stole $70,000 in cash from him at a Mahwah commercial building. According to police reports, the man was behind a commercial building in Mahwah when he was approached by two masked men. The masked men beat him repeatedly and knocked him to the ground before stealing his cash bag which had approximately $70,000 of proceeds from gas stations in the area. The suspects fled the scene in a small model sedan heading south on route 17. The vehicle was gold and similar to a Nissan Altima. Police believe several other suspects may have been involved in the robbery as well.
