Lyndhurst NJ High School Teacher Accused of Sharing Pornography with Students
A Lyndhurst NJ man who served as a substitute teacher at Lyndhurst High School has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly sharing pornography with minors.
The suspect is a 26-year-old resident of Lyndhurst, New Jersey. According to Bergen County prosecutors, the suspect used the Internet to exchange illicit sexual images with underage students at the high school.
When school officials learned of the allegations, they notified local law enforcement. The Lyndhurst Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office conducted a joint investigation into the suspect and eventually determined that enough evidence existed to place him under arrest. Investigators reportedly discovered that the suspect exchanged videos and photographs with the juvenile students.
The suspect faces multiple sex crime charges, including child endangerment and possession of child pornography.
The suspect previously worked as a substitute teacher at Lyndhurst High School, as well as serving as an assistant coach for the school’s hockey team and baseball team. However, shortly before being arrested, the suspect resigned from his positions at the Lyndhurst school.
After he was arrested and charged, the suspect was moved to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey.
