When Marijuana is Seized in Fort Lee, NJ

Fort Lee police recently arrested a man who was allegedly possession of marijuana and other drugs while driving in the borough.

The suspect is a 32-year-old resident of Milford, Delaware. Fort Lee patrol cops pulled him over on Routes 1&9 South around 1:00 a.m. because he was allegedly committing multiple traffic violations, including speeding, tailgating another vehicle, and using a cell phone while driving.

When the Fort Lee police officers approached the suspect’s car, a Nissan, they reportedly detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A Fort Lee K-9 then searched the motor vehicle and allegedly discovered two pounds of marijuana in the trunk. Additionally, police also allegedly came across four ounces of psilocybin mushrooms in the vehicle trunk.

The suspect was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with numerous drug crimes, including distribution of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, the suspect was cited for several traffic offenses.
