Fort Lee Police witness drug sale and recover three stolen watches after search of the vehicle
Four people were arrested yesterday outside a Fort Lee hotel after police witnessed a drug transaction. These arrests led to the discovery of three watches which were stolen from local homes, according to police. According to the Bergen Record article, detectives from the Fort Lee Police Department were at the Skyview Motel on Bergen Boulevard around 4 p.m. when they observed a drug transcation between two men and a boy. According to reports, the boy was seen selling marijuana to the men inside a vehicle. After the defendants were arrested based on the drug transaction, the vehicle was searched and three stolen watches were found. These watches had been stolen from a home during a January 13th robbery on Seventh Street. Fort Lee police say that “the investigation is ongoing”.
Defendants were charged with various offenses including burglary, theft, possession of marijuana and distribution of marijuana. The juvenile matters will be handled in the Family Division of the Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack while the adult cases will be handled in the Criminal Division.
