Fair Lawn Police Arrest 11-Year-Old Boy Who Allegedly Tried to Steal Paintball Guns
An 11-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly attempting to steal paintball guns and accessories in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.
Fair Lawn police officers responded to a burglar alarm at New Breed Paintball, a store on Fair Lawn Avenue. When a police officer arrived at the business, he reportedly saw that a glass door in the rear of the shop had been shattered.
When the officer went inside the store, he reportedly found the juvenile suspect hiding behind a counter. According to police, the suspect was trying to place the stolen items into a bag.
Police said that the items which the boy tried to take have a value of more than $2,000.
The suspect, who resides in Paterson NJ, was issued a number of juvenile complaints, including complaints for burglary, theft, and criminal mischief.
According to police, the suspect was already wanted on multiple juvenile warrants that were issued in Passaic County.
After being arrested for the alleged theft at the paintball store, the suspect was taken to the Bergen County Detention Center in Teterboro. A judge ordered that the boy be held at the facility.
The suspect’s name has not been released because he is underage.
