Hackensack NJ Man Allegedly Committed Sex Offense at Paterson School, Charged with Criminal Sexual Contact
A Hackensack NJ man has been charged with criminal sexual contact after allegedly engaging in sexual relations with a 10-year-old girl at a school in Paterson, New Jersey.
According to law enforcement, the 36-year-old Hackensack man, who was employed as a physical education teacher at School 8 in the Paterson school district, had inappropriate sexual conduct with the underage victim.
The victim is said to be a student at the school where the suspect taught P.E.
The suspect was reportedly transferred within the Paterson school district, from School 10 to School 8, in September 2015 for unspecified reasons. Shortly after being placed under arrest and charged with the sex offense, the suspect was fired by School 8.
The suspect has been charged with a number of sex crimes, including aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect secured his release from Passaic County Jail in Paterson NJ by posting a $50K bail amount. The terms of the suspect’s release require him to avoid any unsupervised contact with minors under the age of 18.
Meanwhile, the victim in the case has reportedly been offered counseling by the Paterson school where she is a student.
