NY Men Accused of Stealing Cooking Oil from Business in Ramsey, New Jersey
Rochelle Park NJ police recently arrested two men after allegedly finding them in possession of more than 500 gallons of cooking oil stolen from a business in Ramsey, NJ.
According to authorities, the suspects stole the large amount of cooking oil from a Ramsey NJ business and were in the process of transporting the stolen cooking oil when police stopped their vehicle.
The traffic stop occurred on Route 17 in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. The Rochelle Park police officers approached the vehicle and immediately noticed that the two suspects were covered in grease.
The suspects, a 21-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, are both from Yonkers, New York. They face criminal charges for receiving stolen property. Depending on the findings of Rochelle Park investigators, the suspects could potentially face additional criminal charges in connection with the theft of the cooking oil.
The 27-year-old suspect has also been charged with simple possession of marijuana because police reportedly found him with a small amount of marijuana when he was placed under arrest.
